38 pilots took part in the strongly contested Japan National Championship completing 11 tasks over 7 flights. Well done everybody, but a special congratulations to Yuudai Fujita.

Congratulations from the worldwide UltraMagic team to Yuudai Fujita on coming first and winning the 2008 Japan National Hot Air Balloon Championship held in Saga between the 30th October and 3rd November 2008. |

By winning the Japan National Championship, Yuudai is now classified as the official single Japanese entry to the next World Air Games. The father of Yuudai, Masahiko Fujita, who crewed for Yuudai in Saga, won the last World Air Games in Seville and has an automatic entry to the next Games. Therefore Masahiko will be defending his title against his son in the Games. It should also be noted that Yuudai, who is 23 years old also took 7th place in his first World Championship this year in Austria beating his father Masahiko. What a fantastic year for Yuudai.
Congratulations also to Takao Mizukami and Mamoru Endo on taking 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the Japan National Championship. All three pilots competed flying Ultramagic Racers!
